For weeks I've been boldly stating that Oregon could not lose. Many folks on the board said a good defense, well prepared could slow them down. I disagreed vehemently. You guys were right, I was wrong. I like my crow braised with shallots. A glass of cabernet would be lovely. Thanks so much.
"I never knew I had a foot until I noticed it was on your neck"
Pretty surprised myself.
Any comic fans out there, check out Tart, written by a Seminole Grad, who is incidentally... me.
Shocking shocking day!!!!
beaten by a red shirt freshman QB at that
Set a plate for Uncle Nash, I'll be there as soon as I wash my hands. I thought they would run hot all the way through the MNC, but well, wrong again. I also thought K St. would make it all the way. Baylor sure put a thumping on their coconuts though. Now..................... stinkbutt school with the girls name from South Bend is prolly gonna be on top. Curses and foul sayings! I think Leprechauns are ugly, little turd looking creatures too!
Nash, we can sit together in the "I drank the kool-aid" section. KState is even more surprising!
Now we may have 2 of the most horrible programs in the history of the western world squaring off in the BCS NC: ND vs. Bama. Who does one root for!?
I don't really care for Ore or Kstate but I was hoping they would both win out.
SMH at another year of sec sec sec.
Missouri fans will even be talking trash.
As much as I hate Naughty DameWithaFlashyHat, I hate Nick Saban and Alabama more. If I haveta, I will pull for Alabama to go down to cataclysmic defeat. See, I have quite a few customers, acquaintances and one friend who are all snotty, arrogant Bammer fanatics. They still tell me we cheated and paid the Winston Family about a quarter Jillion $$$ to sneak Jamies away from them. The Coker Clan too! Excuse me for a moment. I have to aim a fart in their general direction. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, much bettah! Now where were we, Oh yeah, Saban Sucks! He's a cheater too. Takes after your moniker's name sake, in that he has a short dude's pugnacity and syndrome.
DOES NICK SABAN STUFF HIS SHOES TO LOOK TALL? (taken from deadspin.com)
It's pretty easy to find Nick Saban's height: Saban was a defensive back for the Kent State Golden Flashes for the 1970, 1971, and 1972 seasons and also played for the baseball team in 1972. Every year and for both teams, his height and weight were listed at 5-foot-6, 185 lbs. So he's about three and a half inches shorter than the average American male—ha ha, Nick Saban is short.
But here's where the plot thickens: Saban sure doesn't look 5-foot-6 when he's photographed next to other, taller people. There have long been rumors that Saban wears shoe lift inserts, the monument to male vanity that is to shortness what toupées are to baldness: people joke about it on Twitter, people have reported it from in-person interactions, and some people have even been fooled by the maneuver.
So let's go to the tape. It's tough to find images where both parties are standing to their full height—I don't think I've ever stood to my full height in my life—but with a little margin for error, it looks as though Saban's lifts give him about 3 inches, in line with the tallest you can buy.

You're too much, Nash! All I can to do is L--the fuck--OL!!!!!!!! But I agree. I prefer ND over Bama. Bama's gotten too darn big for their britches. They need to be spanked--oh,that's right, they were by TAMU. Bama shouldn't even be in this discussion!!! Late season losses use to count for something. Bama, UO, and KState (and next week UF and USCe) should all freefall in the polls. But, alas, they don't and they won't. Long live the only relevent conference in the history of man, the SEC!!!
Now I'm an FSU fanatic, no error. BUT, I have one client, who has his office, store, car, and clothes all decked out with putrid looking Alabama memorabilia. He insists the only way FSU or anyone can get a Bama HS kid to leave the state, is to pay them a bag-o-moola and make sure their parents all get high-paying jobs in Tallytown ifn' they want one. We argue all the time, good-natured he thinks, seriously I say, about the fact that the only thing the state of Alabama has going for it is two football teams, one of which couldn't come up with anything better for a nickname than 'The Planesmen", and the other one has an ugly, pygmy elephant for a mascot.
He gets so steamed he starts to holler and turns all kindsa shades of red (especially around his already Red-NECK). So I do my best to get him stoked and keep his blood flowing freely.
You should prolly down-vote me before my stalker, who is a closet Bama puffer gets here, and takes me to task for being a meanie!
Elephants are even disliked in foreign lands!
Good to see you on here Nash.
Was worried you may have skipped out.
Naaaaaah. I don't post over here much, as I tend to get tore into those that disrespect our staff, players and program with a bit too much invective. You can usually find me over on the OTR board, where a few of us hang out, swap stretchers and take a look at some of the strange and wonderful activities human beans get up to. C'mon over sometime and hang for a bit. We'll leave the gate open.
I tried to tell you Oregon was not that good, I have no doubt they lose again
You were right. Man, they got stymied! You deserve a big, ole upvote, my friend!

Kudos to you for eating crow... most just run and hide.... what really sucks about this loss is KSU lost resulting into a possibility another SEC will play for the BCS title...
"A Seminole warrior killed in battle is a legend remembered. A Gator lost in battle becomes a pair of boots and a belt. "
Oregon has to prove they can handle physical teams, 3 losses come to mind. Auburn, LSU and Stanford, all controlled the line of scrimmage. All 3 of those teams were said to have big, physical, athletic lines on both sides of the ball. I did not predict a Stanford win, know the experts predicted a tough game and talked about the Stanford defensive line. It is rated as one of the top two or three in the country.
"It's not the SEC conference vs. the ACC conference," "It's Florida State vs. Auburn." --Lamarcus Joyner
Too much knee jerk reaction on wins and losses....One bad game doesn't prove that Stanford's defense would consistently "dominate Oregon"... I watched 10 minutes of the game and seen a handful of different passes Oregon's WR's dropped that were catch-able.
Oregon played poorly. It happens to the best of us... If they played again tomorrow -- do you really think that Oregon wouldn't be heavily favored?
Oregon's worst game of the year took #14 Stanford's best game of the year to OVERTIME. Very similar to the way Alabama lost the prior week vs. T&AM...
The playoffs can't get here soon enough... we just need more than 4-teams, to ensure the BCS doesn't bend over so many non-SEC teams
So, even the best teams can sometimes falter against the motivated underdog (even a 2-3 TD underdog). I still consider Oregon, Alabama, and FSU elite teams, despite losing to an underdog this year.
Glad to see you agreeing with me.
Stanford tried their hardest to give the gm away to Oregon, with those fumbles, lol.
Even this guy can spot the agenda.
You are doing a major disservice to our fan base when you compare us losing to NC State -- with what happened to Alabama or Oregon. Especially when you consider how we played vs. USF, Miami, and Virginia Tech into the equation....
Take the top 15-teams... and every game they played vs. every team ranked at-or-below the value of NC State... and you will see why there is no room for comparison. None of them lost to a team that sucky -- and none of the managed to play that shitty to double-digit underdogs 4x this year...
Once is a coincidence..
Twice is concerning..
Three times trend..
Four times is too much to ignore..
Every game is a dice roll... Away from home, we have proven that we have a higher probability of rolling "shitty game" than all the other teams currently in the top 15...
You choose to disregard probability...and allow emotion to rule your perception. The reaper will come reaping next year, unless Jimbo hires an OC.

But the teams you are looking at lost at home. The Noles haven't lost at home.
