1. Happy new year to all!
2. Very happy we won and especially happy for kids like Vince and Lonny who played fantastic!
3. Heather Dinich wrote an article for ESPN on our win...: http://m.espn.go.com/general/blogs/blogpost?blogname=acc&id=50721
4. Here is the one from SI: http://m.si.com/865502/this-orange-lacked-juice/

The score didn't show it, but it sure as heck was a dominating performance (similar to the Miami game).
I wonder what the experts were saying about ND after the bowl loss last year?
Bet, it sounded the same as those articles!
Someone fire her please.
The Future is Now.
She dogs FSU out all the time.....she was saying per-game that NIU was going to be able to move the ball. Other than the fake punt, the long throw, and the fake kick and drive they couldn't.
Jimbo just needs to run up the score on someone for her to shut up.
this is just evidence that this game was a lose/lose for FSU. We beat the spread by a touchdown and shut down the offense with 9 minutes left in the game. Enough said. It wasnt close.
I'm responding for two reasons....
One...I'm stunned jhovey started a tread...rarier than a 4 leaf clover....
Two...I never open an article penned by Dinich....she is a no talent hack...if people stopped reading her articles she wouldn't have a job....I hope everyone else avoids her drive by writings....

We won the game and beat the spread handily.
The media's expectations of this program never cease to amaze me. This game was set up for a failure for FSU's PR at the onset. To Hell with the Dinich's of the world. FSU will never please them. Enjoy the win internally, celebrate the 12 win season and our seniors accomplishments, and put these negative articles on the locker room bulletin board for the next 12 months.
This OF next year with Jimbo as OC and a new 1st year QB will continue to be a problem, take off the FSU shades and see the truth.
There was nothing wrong with her article. It's clear she has doubts Jimbo can get it done. After this year only a fool would not share those same doubts.
Clemson would have beaten NIU 62-17. did we dominate NIU? sure, for 3 quarters everywhere but where it matters: On the scoreboard.
Jimbo had the same problem with the offense at LSU: dominated in yardage yet not on the scoreboard. i remember an auburn LSU game where LSu had over 400 yds offense and 3 points for the game.
she did not see improvement in the offense. same problems week after week.
so to the outisde world we did not prove much this year.
we also missed a golden opportunity to play for a mnc.
Getting annoyed about these articles is just in essence shootng the meesenger.
I suspect her attitude would change if Jimbo turned over playcalling duties.
so pundits look at this team as a whole and conclude its sum is less than its parts.

Maybe we'll stumble to another 12 win season.
The 12-win season, ACC championship, and OB win almost had me happy there for a second. Apparently the glass is half empty.
...Clemson would have beaten NIU 62-60... FIFY
I bet Clemson also wishes they beat FSU, or hadn't lost 70-33 in the OB last year.
LSu got to 24 I doubt NIU would have gotten to 25. so i will give you 62-24. I have always been a fan of that score since UF-Nebraksa.
the point is they would have rolled up NIU in the first half.
You need to check your lifes direction when you agree with Heather.
PTCNOLE,FSUKUM.....lost to NCState,UF....barely beat VT.GT... NIU??? is this really the standard? not at other top 10 programs.Do u really think this OF beats Clemson.UM,UF next year?Looking at 4 loses next year.
I'm not disputing some of your points, TNole, but that article was poorly written from the start.
She contradicted herself a few times.
Dinich being bad at her job and FSUs offensive issues are 2 different things
The standard of averaging 10.3 wins per year?
The the standard that top-10 UF set in their games versus Bowling Green, Louisiana Lafayette and Jacksonville State? The same UF that Fisher has beaten twice in 3 tries? The standard that top-10 Clemson set in their struggle versus Auburn? The standard that a top-10 Clemson team set in a going-away loss to FSU? The one where they allowed 667 yards?
Just making sure were on the same page with the top-10 standard.

1. LOL, love u too!
2. Agree but Dinish's latest was basically a copy of SI, Thamel, Forde articles. This is what national journalists are writing about us. That bothers me, ALOT!
These articles were probably written before the game. They would have been posted no matter the score.
Yep. She's just trying to stir the pot. It gets her hits by FSU fans b/c they want to respond to her garbage and she gets hits by our rivals b/c they like to read about our shortcomings, whether real or imagined.
do you really think if we win 65-10 these same atricles are written? fact is, this is what the nation thinks of FSU. We may not like it but it is the perception of fSU nonetheless.
we had a chance to dent that perception last night and did not do it. The perception did not get worse either.
we are viewed as a team that cannot get out of its own way on offense which means scoring points. For 3 quarters the perception was reality.
