Tallahassee, Fl - In addition to being excited about the big FSU-Florida football game, Seminole Boosters and fans of Florida State University Athletics will be celebrating the groundbreaking of a new state-of-the-art indoor training facility just a few hours before the game. The invitation-only groundbreaking ceremony for the Albert J. Dunlap Athletic Training Facility will take place at 11 AM on Saturday. The event will be held on the current FSU football practice fields.
In attendance will be Al and Judy Dunlap. The building will be named the "Albert J. Dunlap Athletic Training Facility" as a tribute to the couple's generosity and commitment to Florida State University.
The new facility will enclose an entire football practice field and will be located on one of the three fields at the Al Dunlap Football Practice Complex. The construction costs for the state-of-the-art training complex are estimated at $15 million dollars.
With the success of the fund-raising campaign, Florida State University will join a corps of other major college football programs who already have year-round elite-athlete facilities or have plans to build one in the near future. Major programs include, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Tennessee and LSU as well as many others.
"Al and Judy Dunlap really made this project happen and our entire campaign team has done an amazing job" said Seminole Boosters president, Andy Miller. "Campaign Chairman, Larry Strom's generosity and leadership have been inspiring and the speed with which his team moved and made this project happen is amazing."
Work will begin on the new facility and the rebuilding of existing fields immediately after FSU's final ACC Championship game preparations on November 29 and is scheduled to be completed by Auguest 1, 2013

Another nice recruiting tool!
Can we go over the layout with MT, and Kirkland? Gonna be a huge recruiting tool.
There is a picture of what the facility might look like, but I cannot find a way to save it
Really is incredible, and shows an great level of commitment. Thanks to all of those who helped make it happen.
