I was trying to find out a little bit about the 4-2-5 scheme and came across this article that breaks it down pretty well. Karlos seems like the perfect fit for his "Spur" position. It would be interesting to see what all of our LB commits would think if this hire were to be made, especially the one's being recruited as SAM's.
What to expect defensively out of the Gamecocks this weekend.

You're right. Karlos would be perfect in that position.
Also, for whatever reason it's a lot easier to recruit a kid for a position with a fancy name (Jack, Buck, etc.)
Do not want a 4-2-5 unless the NB is basically always in the box. IMO 4-2-5 isn't an attacking (pass-rushing) D. I'd love to see 1 3-4 but there'd be a transition period to acquire the required front 7 personnel.
With our LB situation a 4-2-5 might not be a bad idea.
The 4-2-5 is definitely an attacking defense. You have a combo of 5 Db's and it allows u to send anyone of them at anytime. Not everyone runs it the same, but you can be multiple in a 4 2-5 scheme. With the right defensive personnel it can change to a 3-3-5, 4-3 or 4-4 with two safety/LB hybrids on the field at the same time. And it's a perfect defense for the modern day spread offense.
Would be a SUPERSTAR
There is a great article about that and Eliis Johnson on another FSU website from a few days ago.
