Eric Ryan #62 OL78-82 passed away today.
For any of you that played with Eric or if you knew him you would attest he was a great Seminole. A die hard fan until the end. Each game some of us old timers would get on skype to talk while we watch the game together regardless of where we were in the world. The last game we saw together was this year against UF. Eric Ryan hated everything there was about the gators.
He grew up in Sarasota, He loved Bobby Bowden. Eric was so proud when he and i stood together to talk with coach Bowden as he entered the Gator Bowl for his last game I think we were the last to talk with him before he entered to locker room with the team it is a moment we both will always remember.
You hear alot about the FSU Dynasty if you really want to know how it started ask some of the guys from the 79-80 team that went to the first Orange Bowls for FSU or the 81-82 Road Warrior team that put FSU on the map as the team that would play anyone anywhere. My friend Eric Ryan is part of those great FSU teams and a proud Florida State Seminole Warrior has fallen.
Life is good. Now lets go win another championship.
That's a beautiful tribute. Thank you for sharing.
May he rest in peace and may God bless his soul and his family during this time.
Any comic fans out there, check out Tart, written by a Seminole Grad, who is incidentally... me.
I'm sorry for your loss Loug. It's these kind of special relationships we develop in our lifetime that make us complete. I appreciate the heartfelt story and God Bless you both.
My thoughts, to you Loug, and Eric.

I remember him. That's very sad to hear of his passing. May he RIP.
Sorry for your loss brother, my condolences to you and his family.
That was a great story, and sorry for the loss
May he rest in peace. I didnt start watching FSU until 86 so I never saw him play but he sounds like a special guy.
