"It's not the SEC conference vs. the ACC conference," "It's Florida State vs. Auburn." --Lamarcus Joyner
"I never knew I had a foot until I noticed it was on your neck"
The whole world was on Jackson by time he committed to us. so Jackson is an erroneous example. As to Glauser and Watson being gone, We knew by the end of sprng Glauser was gone after this year b/c he only got one year from the NCAA. so any issues as to him is nothing more than being unprepared.
as to Watson, well, if he turned out to be 1/2 as good as everyone thought he would be when he got here (and he did) there was a danger he would only stay one year.
Again, any issues in regard to him are also nothing mroe than a lack of preperation. Honestly, it appears some of you have never had to develop contingency plans. It appears Trickett drew up poor contingency plans regarding potential ol recruits. We are in our annual january "Who can we get to come play for Trickett" scramble. Nothing more.
so what you are saying is one player leaving early is causing all of these problems where we are reduced to fighting ucf for out of st ol recruits?
I am still waiting for the list of ol recruits that uf, Bama and UGa are poaching from low rent d-1 schools. I am sure the pouting downvoters have time during recess to whip up that list.
While you are whipping up that list maybe you can pause from the pouting and downvoting long enough to answer the question of exactly when are we going to START getitng consistenly good ol's under Trickett? Just the exact year is sufficient.
that is all that matters.
What will the probable results for the ol be in 2015 and 2016 with this scramble?
Trickett's results, over his 6 years, have been, quite frankly, underwhelming. That may actually be an understatement of the ol results during Trickett's tenure.
It's amusing how the proponents of keeping trickett never point to the on the field results
to lend their side credibility.
Because they know they can't point to the on the field results.
so instead we get numerous posts of how bad is Trickett's luck. After 7 years, if his luck is this bad it will probably never be good.
so get someone who has better luck.
FWIW, having to try to steal some UCf recruit from out of state is nothing more than the plan a's, b's, and c's saying no thanks. not bad luck. not bad recruiting from an overall team standpoint. Just kids that won't come play for Trickett.

Not one person has said "i hate trickett." not one personal attack on Trickett. not one.
Many personal attacks on those who have grown weary watching a deficient ol year after year under Trickett.
I for one , am sick of all those that clearly hate the thought of a quality ol at FSU. It's clear those attack those who want a quality year and out ol and do not want an ol that can actually gets 3rd and 1 some of the time.
I hate those who want the FSu ol to be sooooo bad every team stays in the game.
Now that we have gotten the absudity of the "people hate Trckett" and "people want Fsu's ol to always suck" out of the way maybe we can have rational discussion as to why fighting UCf for out of state ol recruits is in all probablilty a harbinger of less than stellar future ol's.
This isn't personal. many of us have met Trickett and like him personally. This is just about on the field results. Period.
I will say I am concerned the staff may be concerned with an interior ol commit sticking. otherwise, i am not sure why we offer this guy. if it is just aobut numbers I suspect there is someone they felt good about getting and within the last couple of days something has changed regarding that specific recruit.
for example, that ol in Delaware is mcuh better, the uscsr commit (looking at offer lsits) than this guy. if we needed the extra interior commit i wonder why we did not push for him. It appears we could have gotten him. It may be nothing more than poor planning.
