All these projections for the BCS are so far off. Not overly surprised. Just keep winning and we will see what happens. Our chances were already less than 3% as we stand now.
"Some people think football is a matter of life and death, I assure you, it is much more serious than that."
What a fvcking joke how much love the SEC gets.
haha 2 teams with 2 losses in front of us. Both in the sec of course. Thankfully this garbage system is done in 2 more years.
Sorry, maybe I'm being a blind homer, but we are at least a TD better than uga, uf, and scar. I think we'd beat LSU on a neutral field. I know we're better than ND and Louisville as well, but I can live with them being in front of us bc they are undefeated.
If we beat uf and win out and clemson beats usce and finishes in top 10 we will not be below any 1 loss team.
That's what happens when you play Murray State, Savannah State, Wake, BC, and Duke. Not to mention lose to NC State.
Kenny Powers: "A true champion will do whatever it takes to rise above. Because surrender is death, and death is for pussies."
You have got to be effing kidding me. Louisville barely beat USF, Southern Miss and Cinci. No 2 loss team should be in the top ten right now. The SEC bias will not be fixed by the playoff. They will just have 3/4 teams in the playoff.

Clemson will beat SC, We will beat UF, and Bama will beat Georgia, so we should pass those tree before season's end. BSC is till BS!!!'
>>>>-------------> FEAR THE SPEAR >>>>-------------->
And how did LSU only fall 2 freaking spots?!?!?!? They've got 2 losses and near losses to auburn and TOWSON! And they're in front of us? Aaaarrrrrrgh!!!!!
Oh god, I just realized that Oregon State is only .0004 points behind us. Seriously, what the fnjnksdgm
What is Louisville's record against ranked opponents?
You guessed it: 0-0.
South Carolina's? 1-2
How are these teams in the top 10!?
And how the fvck is Miss. St. still ranked!?
Well, we're going to destroy UF, Clemson is going to wreck USCe, and Rutgers (at home) is going to ruin Louisville. Maybe then we'll creep up to # 8 1/2.
I hate the SEC. I want Oregon and Bama in the big bowl. We'll see how bad-ass the SEC is then.

"I never knew I had a foot until I noticed it was on your neck"
True. We need a much tougher OOC schedule.
What a joke. I can't wait till Thursday to watch us put a beat down on vt.
Not that this hasn't been beat to death....but if we are going to keep crying over where the BCS has us... we mine as well say it again....
Which one of the teams ranked ahead of us have loss to team as bad as NC State?
I think UGA could definitely beat us, the rest I agree with. Main thing to me is we lost a game to a vastly inferior opponent therefore the BCS doesn't mean shit. We win the ACC and go to that bowl game regardless.
Clemson is ranked three spots higher than us in the computers
This is my issue with the ACC. FSU will never be able to have 1 loss and make it to a Natty. It is undefeated or bust.
$50M has us in the bed we laid....

"Sometimes when you bring the thunder, you get lost in the storm." -Kenny Powers
We coud have scheduled better ooc games. USF sucked-not our fault. We could have gotten a medicore d-1 team to replace wvu and instead got Savannah st-that is our fault.
We could also have scheduled a a low end d-1 team instead of Murray st.
as to our BCS record, it is irrelevant because he will finish ranked higher than all 2 loss teams if we finish 13-1
Also, in two years the computers will not matter anymore.

So if nd takes a Loss vs USC should they drop out of top 10? Look at teams they played purdue wake bc navy mia pitt msu.. Only teams they have played were Ou and Stanford...

The NC State loss doesn't me jack.... If we are undefeated right now, we are probable ranked 5-6... The same as where we would be if we win our last three... Our overall schedule sucks..
If we were undefeated every human poll would have us ranked 2. Even the Espn guys ALL said FSU is the best team with one loss.
Here is one of the computers:
The perpetual SEC bloat, gives them credit as a stronger conference and for playing stronger opponents.
Don't let anyone tell you the computers are not biased, the system is bunk.
"A&H assigns each team a decimal score less than one, and ranks according to score.
The following statistics are likely components of the rankings:
Wins and Losses
Strength of Schedule
Record vs. Current Top-25
Losses to non-Top-25
Unfortunately much like the rest of the BCS computers, Anderson and Hester do not publish their computer rankings, and therefore its hard to know the entire process. To learn more about this rating system, visit Anderson and Hester HERE."
Find out more about Anderson and Hesters College Football Computer Rankings, unchanged since the beginning of the BCS.
Our schedule sucks no more than some of the SEC ranked teams.
I did not realize these were the final BCS standings?
Look i am not defending the BCS, which is a joke, BUT we were idle last week, while these teams all played.
ND is likely to lose one, their final SoS is not much better than ours.
If FSU wins out we will jump to around 5th, assuming Oregon and K-State win out.
Clemson beats USCe we beat UF..and all is well.
I would really like to see FSU come out and drop the hammer Thursday, as if we aren't getting the respect we deserve, and want to take it out on VT. I want to see this team with a "Killer Instinct" and to see it play angry. Perception is reality, and if we pulverize VT at their place, on national TV, no matter their record, people will notice.
Billingsley’s system is based on “point accumulation”, meaning that teams only are credited for winning/losing when the game occurs, only receiving/losing points in the rankings following that weekend. Therefore, a team is not punished for losses a team may suffer in the future, but also cannot gain points for teams getting better down the line.
Arkansas was ranked 10
Auburn ranked 25
Explains why Clemson is ranked ahead of us. Also, whoever played VT early got their points on ranking with no downward adjustment later in season.
We get ZERO points for VT since they are no longer ranked.
