I was reading the thread about our potential RB coach. People were talking about Luper and his time at Auburn. Specifically mentioned was his "questionable character" due to recruiting violations.
My question is how many people think there is a coach in America that can honestly say they haven't been involved in "dirty recruiting"? How many coaches have known about it and just turned a blind eye? Remember, that's what basically got Tressell in trouble. My answer is next to none.
I've gotten to the point where I just accept that everybody does it and it doesn't really bother me anymore. I mean some of the "impermissible benefits" that get kids and schools in trouble are a JOKE. Do you really think Pryor getting some tats and a TV, or whatever, gave OSU even a inch of an advantage on the field? These kids make a billion dollar industry and if they get a free cheeseburger or tatoo, so be it in my eyes.
Cheating will always bother me.
The tattoo's didnt help directly but its certainly plausible that they have a guy or two on their roster that came there in part because OSU players get "free" tats
