Hate to see him go to USC... Hate the Trojans
Southern California has targeted Florida Gulf Coast Coach Andy Enfield as its top candidate, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. The deal is not completed, but Enfield and USC have held discussions and a deal is expected to be finished soon.
On the bright side it would be pretty easy to pick him away if he has success and isn't already gone.
Good move by him. Cash in while your name is hot.
Unless being in L.A. kills two birds with one stone by opening up more opportunities for his wife.
Wife aside, is coaching FSU in the new ACC a better job than coaching USC in the Pac-12? I tend to think it is, but I'm obviously biased...
USC announced. It's official.
Good for him.
Depends how quickly we renovate the CC (sounds like 2 years) and how well he's doing.
Would you rather live in L.A. or Tallahassee? It depends on who you are. I'd pick L.A. There are some awesome parts of that place.
Like you said, depends on the person. As a coach, how much time do you actually get to enjoy the town you live in anyways?
Me, I will never set foot in LA, living or visiting.
Santa Monica, the Palisades. Great places to eat. Laid back atmosphere. Great weather. The Ocean. You're missing out if you've never been. Really cool place. San Diego, too. Any place where you can drive 45 minutes in either direction and be either surfing or skiing is such a cool place.
I'm not from there, but work has taken me there some, and there are parts of L.A. that are so easy to fall in love with.
Oh, and of course Pliny the Elder on Tap at Father's Office is reason enough alone to relocate.
To each his own, but LA and the surrounding area is a beautiful place.

So your arguing that Tallahassee is vastly superior to la? Wow
Wow. Are you serious? How much time does a coach get to spend in the town where he lives?
You are truly a Tallahassean, kum.

Yeah, I visited family there a few years ago.....not my type of place

I'm sure it is, but there are plenty of places that are just as beautiful in this country and in this world that are of more interest to me. Going to an overgrown city with beach pollution, air pollution and arrogant individuals is not high on my list.
I agree. I love visiting la but I could never live there. Traffic is enough of a reason for me.
I chose to live in Nashville over NYC. I was happily considering moving to Alabama, as well. Again, love visiting NY...living there for just a summer nearly drove me crazy.

You chose well. Its a scientific fact that Nashville is the greatest city in Amurrica.
Have you been there? I'd described the people first and foremost as laid back.
Like I said, I visited family out there and I didn't really enjoy it. San Diego on the other hand was cool, but LA wasn't enjoyable for me. I was happy when I got back home.
