How's the growth of the boosters? I've pointed this out a few times now, but UF's operating budget is 78% booster money. That's where we need the biggest growth in funding, not TV.
Exactly, people put way to much emphasis on TV money. I will try to find a report on fund raising and get back to you. FSUkum, email me. I know weve met but I couldnt find you in my files. I will get you on my email list. email@example.com

Seminole Boosters ended the 2013 fundraising year on Jan. 31, 2013 up 1 percent over 2012 at $14,041,340.42, with $11,233,072.42 falling in the category of charitable giving. Restricted fund giving was up 68 percent from $389,418 to $654,614 fueling a 3.35 overall rate of growth in total annual fund giving. Total major gift giving was down 32 percent from $17,607,257. Total organization giving was down 16.49 percent from $31,911,873.
Dont put to much into the major gift giving being down, we had a huge gift the year before.
Alabama has someone similar to this where the endzones have chair back seats and access to a club level behind them. I've sat close to it before and it looks nice.
Here's a pic
Any update on this? With a new AD are we still on track to beging renovations?
No update to my knowledge. But yes, I imagine these things are still in the plans. It will be years before things are started and completed, however.
Years? I thought your original post said we had 32 million to use for renovations? Why would it take years? I know that is split between tlcc and Doak but I would think we could get some things done sooner than later.
They put things on hold while they discussed options. They didn't want to spend the money on updating the seating, for instance, just to rip them out down the road. They may do some cosmetic painting and cleaning, but I don't think you will see much int he way of club seating for at least a year or significant improvements to the TLCCC for at least a year either. You have to budget for these things and raise money. FSU isn't going to create a club zone before they sell those spots.
Agreed 100%. I've been fortunate enough to score some awesome seats the past couple of years, and there are always a TON of people crowding in our row/section that don't have tickets. It drives me off the wall crazy. If I can only make it to 1-2 games a year, I'm going to get my seat and have my space so I can comfortably enjoy the game. I let that fact be known, and the situation was rectified quickly each time, as in multiple times per game. Sorry guys, this isn't like standing in line for Potbelly's. You can't just have your friends watch the game with you on the bleachers when you're 20 rows up on the 40 yd line. It does not work like that. #thisisn'tnamtherearerules
My god please tell me this includes some sort of pressure was of the brick wall surrounding the field!!!! I've said it numerous times but the water marks from drain runoff is such an eyesore. I saw it was still there when looking at camps pictures today.
No idea, you would think so. They should either install gutters or plant around the brick IMO.
Often times shooting an email about these things to Bernie Waxman at FSU will get the ball rolling, or at the very least he can provide a solid answer.
Humm, never thought to do that.
