Saw on twitter the other day the he was coming in at tackle instead of guard. Any word on this?
Not sure if true, but I always thought he could be a tackle. He has the size and the ability to play in space better than people think.

GO NOLES! / SCALP EM!
If he can throw around D-lineman like he throws a shotput or discus he can play either and will be successful... He got the feet to play tackle but I too am little surprised if true.

If Rodney Hudson could play tackle why can't he?
I'm not sure why the sudden surprise. He was quoted in the Noles 247 recruiting day article as being recruited to play tackle!?!
He's right. The only reason this is happening is because Trickett has been so pathetic getting kids to ce play for him. So we are taking someone who has potential to be a great guard and make him hopefully an adequate OT.
And that shows Trickett's greatness why again? Denson is a team player so he won't say anything. His future at the next level is guard unless he adds 2" or more to his wingspan. So the "dollars" are at guard.

You know there have been plenty of questionable calls under Trickett with dudes looking like a no doubt tackle, he will ending up inside, and dude's who aren't even 6'3 ending up playing tackle. Stork, Orelus come to mind right off the bat.
Barrett Jones 6'4 306lbs from Bama played Center, Tackle, Guard and it worked out ok for them

In defense of this, he has really long arms. And he would bring a DJ Fluker like presence in the running game at RT.
However, I too am skeptical about how would do in pass pro, especially against speed and double moves. It would have been great to get him EE and see him perform, like originally planned.
I believe Denson is far too competitive to be average anywhere on the OL. While he may not be an AA, I just can't see him falling on his face and embarrassing himself out there at RT. Maybe I have more faith in him than most, but that's how much confidence I have in him. When I saw that tape of him calling out the best DL in the country and beating them in 1 v 1s, I was sold on his drive to be the best.
There was one play were a 300+ pound DL had him going backwards. Denson lowered his hips/butt, and stopped the 300 pounder in his tracks. The defender couldn't believe it happened himself. I told that to a friend of mine who played OG for the 49ers and he said that only the best technique can do something like that.
Bottom line, the kid is a stud.
