Junior starters probably gone for NFL...
15 of 22 starters possibly gone to the NFL.
Scalp 'Em Seminoles!!!
I think Fluker for sure maybe Lacy. Millner for sure.
Mosley is returning.
Saban has done something that I haven't seen any team do, to my memory. His offensive system is feeding itself. If you want to be a feature back, you go to bama. If you are a top notch OL, you go to bama. It doesn't need a top notch QB, just a game manager. Thus bama doesn't need to compete for the Winston types to win titles. It's easier for them to reload than it was for meyer at uf. As long as saban is there, they are in the discussion or in the title game.
I disagree some. Their OL won't be anything like they had this year, so expect McCarron to struggle more than he did in 2012. He wasn't touched this year.
Cyrus returns for one more season before being a top 5 pick, and maybe Steen returns for his senior senior because guards don't typically leave early. Either way, if the OL had anyone who wasn't an "All-American" it's Steen. He's still a great player. Who are the 3 new starters at LG, C, RT? Chad Lindsay, Ryan Kelly, Austin Shepherd. Not the same.
Everyone thought Bama would struggle this season because they lost so much in the draft last year. Not really. 16 of their 22 starters were juniors/seniors in the right positions. The others on offense are Cyrus and Cooper, future 1st rounders. On defense, Hubbard, DePriest, Dickson all have NFL futures, and Sunseri who's more of a cerebral player, probably not a pro.
Bama will be better at the skill positions, but worse in the trenches.
In 2013, they lose 2 games. With some bad luck, maybe 3.
Dial wasn't a starter, Steen, Mosely, Stinson will all come back.
We lose a few starters on each side of the ball. Defense should be better next year, while the offense will take a step back replacing 3 OL.
It would be a shock if Steen or Stinson left early as there names have never been mentioned. Mosley announced he is returning for his senior season. Most Bama fans would be surprised if Fluker, Lacy and Milliner returned Most feel that Fluker and Milliner are gone for sure.
JUCO OL signee and early enrollee Leon Brown will probably start somewhere along the line, likely RT, next season
Anybody remember what Bama lost after last year? And they said this was the rebuilding year. Corso said it best, when you play Bama, you're playing a machine and a mindset, not just a team. Plug and chug.
Bama reloads. The rebuilding days are over long as Saban is there.
Won't matter who Bama loses as long as Saban is there.
It will be just another future All-American stepping up in their place.
This was EXACTLY us all through the 90's. Remember SOS's comment after signing day when we had another top 5 class. "I don't know how they do it, pile on AA's on top of AA's"..If Saban's smart he'll make sure that all of his coaches can recruit, that was Bobby's biggest down fall..
in the 90's, it didn't matter who we lost. Someone on the bench was always just as good. That's what Bama is going thru right now
You can't just take away a win because of luck. If you predict 2 losses, then 3 with bad luck, there's an equal chance that with GOOD luck, they could win a game they'd otherwise lose.
One loss...Which is usually good enough for a title shot (especially w an SEC schedule)
I will believe they can be knocked off when they stop blowing teams out in championship games.
