He'll be needing a DC.
Skip Holtz will be the next head coach at Louisiana Tech, a source told CBSSports on Thursday night.

Hudson ? One can only hope
Im still laughing at the fact FSU loses all these coaches except Trickett
Life be unfair mane, its like jesus has a NoVa voodo doll that he hasn't put down since 2001
You would think being so awesome at 3rd and 1 would be a sign to move on, but if last year couldn't do im convinced nothing can
Get lost dude.
3rd and 1 stretch play giving Freeman a choice which of course he screws up.
Yeah that's on Trickett.
What about the other 8 or 9 times FSU got stuffed ? was that Stoops fault ?
Even Wake got a GL stand on FSU, who's fault was that ? mine ?
Go back and watch the plays in slow motion.
Actually watch the Line rather than assume about what happened on each play.
Then come back and tell me.
If Jesus has a NoVa voodoo doll, I might commit suicide just to go sit next to Jesus and stick more pins in that little sucker.
I don't need to watch plays in slow motion to realize not being able to run the ball into the endzone against Wake Forest from inside the 5 is an OL problem
Maybe not 100% on the OL, but no matter how you break it down, slow motion or not.. something is wrong up front
lolz at that last line, who says you would go to heaven ? committing suicide is a sin brother

I know man. That's why I won't do it.
I'd wind up in hell and be bored until you showed up.
The reality is that the OL played well this year. I know what you're saying about inside the 5, but everyone and their mother knew what we were going to run.
That's why on the TD pass to the TE both Haplea and O'Leary were open with no one in sight.
The truth is the defense can stack up and stop the run if they know where it's going or if it's slow to develop.
IMO FSU should be able to tell a team like Wake Forest that they are running, and still be able to jam down their face
That is just me though
The real reality is FSU's OL was only tested once this season, and they got an F- for that performance imo... Florida game
No other DL came close to fielding a talented group, oh wait... VT had a solid DL, and also kicked FSU's OL right in the face and did so play after play... after play after play
Luckily for FSU Greene decided to show his talent that night and EJ kept finding him, or else FSU loses cause of that OL performance
F-? No way. EJ had time to throw time and time again. That was the first time we faced a top OL and the players adjusted in short time. Experience is irreplaceable.
VT didn't come in through the middle, they attacked the edges and we kept running right into them.
You can't ask a lineman, any lineman to try and reach block competent DEs, it won't happen.
Had we ran downhill in that game, we'd still be running.
F- was a joke, but either way the OL looked very blah in those 2 contests
I agree its a combination of things, from how the run game is called to the backs not hitting the right holes... whatever, it varies on each play
The bottom line is the run game continues to have similar problems year after year, it drives me effin nuts
What UF did to FSU, FSU should be doing to everybody in the ACC at the very least... and time after time, they just don't do it on a regular basis
I insist that the coordination of OL movement with RB running lanes lie on the OC.
OL coach is there to do OC's wishes, nothing more.
Trickett is an excellent OL coach, but I think our linemen are put at disadvantageous angles and generally asked to do too much.
A simpler approach at times would be more efficient.
Some of the reach blocks and steps they ask Stork to do... Unfair to Stork
Correct, and can't be stated enough.
Running backs are F'ing up most of the short yardage. Maybe that's on Jimbo for calling a zone run and not a predetermined hole. But it's damn sure not on the OL.
On a short run it is MY PERSONAL OPINION, that the hole ought to be predetermined and the RB should have nothing to think about except protecting the ball, getting to the hole like a madman, and attempting to bulldoze any hostile color in his path.
JWJ, your number i being called.
If you want to dictate to WF what you will do, that;s what you do, not have Devonte dance while he decides what hole he will hit.
Agreed. JWJ should be running iso. You've got road grader interior line, a dominant full back and a 230 pound tank running back, no reason to be running outside zone.
Have to go power. Wilder goes the wrong way on lead zone - see 4th and 1 vs VT.
Love how this thread has just about nothing to do with Skip Holtz.
We love tangents.
The two extremes of our fan base.
One thinks the coaches can do no wrong and the other things our coaches can do no right.
and you are somewhere in the background eating twinkies as usual
How on earth did a thread about Skip Holtz, LATECH and possibility of Hudson joining him turn into a pissing contest about us having an OC and Rick Trickett ? Come on guys.....
