I'm sure he does have a running list. That doesn't mean all those guys are available. I'm sure Johnson was on that list, but we couldn't afford him.
And because there is a chance we hire a first-time coordinator doesn't mean it won't be a great hire.
My initial reaction was to get rid of hudson but what if the less than stellar LB play was due to Stoops scheme or just the players? Hudson and Stoops were here for 3 years it shouldnt have been a scheme issue. My point is this, Fisher puts a huge emphasis on recruiting so he wouldnt hire a coach if he was a poor recruiter unless he was a REALLY good coach. And Fisher would have known if he turned out to be a poor coach before this season

You make some good points here. Fisher has shown a great propensity for hiring coaching talent up to this point, and there's no reason to think that after three years of experience as a head coach, he will somehow regress. I think that some are nervous about this situation because they have now begun to question Fisher's judgement in regards to his reluctance to give up play calling duties, the alleged bad blood he may or may not have created within the AD and among some on his staff, EJ's awfulness, and the continued mishaps on the OL (though they improved greatly this year).
What gives me hope is that the new guy will be the third DC we've had in how many years? You've got to believe that this is a dream job for a whole lot of super talented coaches around the country - especially with the talent we already have on our roster. The DC job at FSU, as Stoops has shown, is a fantastic opportunity for furthering your career. People tend to get caught up in the fact that we can't match the cash of SEC schools, but the above factors are great tools for us to have on our side.
Exactly, this is how I interpret the running list. Jimbo has a list of guys that he feels are qualified for the job. However, that doesn't mean those on the list would want to take a lower-paying ACC job or that they are at all interested in the job at FSU in particular. I would guess that most of the list in unavailable now after a week, and Jimbo is forced to try to find some talent that is less experienced (i.e. Pruitt). That's why I've said before that I believe that Hudson will end up being the most qualified candidate willing to take the job.
Christo omnino nihil praeponere
Clearly Hudson isn't the most qualified for the job if he isn't hired. I think we're far past the days where previous experience is as important as it used to be. In some cases, I think it can actually be a deterrent instead of a benefit. Not always, but at times...
he does not. Issues with recruiting have poisoned the well.
I would not be surprised id he is not here by next season. He can be a dc it just won't be here. IMO he is a good x's and o's guy.
It's like I can just sit back and watch you fail. I don't even have to address you directly anymore.
