alot of craziness on signing day? Been following recruiting since 2003 and this group is wacky.
I'm actually bracing myself for a huge let down. Stocking up the bar this weekend.
I think the craiest that happens for us is that Matt Thomas commits to FSU. That's pretty crazy considering what happened last week.
The Future is Now.
Just don't see him going to FSU. Hope we get Coley, Golson(to stick) and Bower( longshot) but I think we miss out on MT, LK, Bellamy and Jackson.
This whole process is getting crazier and crazier each year. I've been following closely since 1995. You couldn't really get good info before about 1998-1999 and the internet starting giving good updates. I used to call these 1-800 numbers with recruiting info. I really think they should have an early signing period for footballl, but the NCAA seems to be going the other way with removing restrictions such as quiet periods/dead periods. I'm not sure what the changes are yet, but I think coaching staffs will change the way they recruit with all of these decommitments.
Losing 6 coaches never helps for recruiting stability but the new coaches have already gotten a couple of good commits ( Walker & Andrews) here & will probably get a few others.
You are going to have kids get rattled ( Bellamy) when that happens. I still think we get him FWIW unless we get Bower and Yannick because they will scare him off.
Another issue IMO is you have the ole miss sites spouting crap most of which will be/is nothing more than blowing smoke.
Now they claim to be in the thick of it for Tunsil. He is coming to FSU before ole miss. He is not BTW.
People are taking their sites too seriously. Just another Auburn site where the mods are exaggerating their reports. First Golsen, then Kirkland, the Aaron Rogers supposedly is going to commit there.
Furthermore. We are still in play for some big time defensive players.
On offense. If we get Coley we will have a very good wr class. We could have used 1 more quality RB but we will be fine.
The ol is a problem but that is no different than every year but 2011.
Besides, unless we fall flat on our face we will have a top 3 class in 2014. The only area where there is potential for long term damage is the ol

It's going to be an insane day. I feel like every recruit in 2013 is a head case. All these kids switching schools at the drop of a hat. And then the uncommitted guys saying x school is leading then 2 days later z school is and then at the end school g pops up out of nowhere and everyone wants to go there. 2014 can't get here fast enough
Actually, these kids are the same as always. What is different is that there are multiple internet sites trying to get eyeballs by spouting a bunch of BS and speculation. Let a kid simply voice a thought to a friend or one of these so called "recruiting gurus" and there are threads popping up all over the place trying to analyze that fleeting thought.
I don't blame the kids that start to have fun with it all.
These are kids trying to make their first adult decision and sometimes everyone around them has an agenda.
The one's that are really unethical [Fowler] are few and far apart. Most are just doing the best they can.
