You don't know anything more about my mentality than I know about yours (other than your propensity at pathetic insults when people disagree).
I am willing to bet you know as much about medicine as I know about football.
We are clearly not changing any minds here. I've made my case and you yours. It's clear you think I don't know anything about football, and I believe you to be rather clueless when it comes to medicine and sales.
It's funny, you seem to think football is so easy to coach, one has to wonder why so many people fail...and furthermore wonder why someone as "football smart" as you isn't running a defense himself making half a mil a year?
A shit ton. There are lessons in football that are only learned by fire. Lessons only learned when you are 100% responsible for the consequences of the calls made. He's going to have to learn those at FSU I guess.
You are correct and I dont think anyone is saying that experience wouldnt make them better. What it can do though is create bad habits and complacency along with self entitlement. I think that there are benefits to having both types as a DC. From what I have seen of the candidates we were after is that they all appear to be lifer's at the DC position with regards to what they have done. All of the real good DCs are either head coaches or not leaving their teams as they are in position to become head coaches. We have to find that in between or a coach who has the drive and knowledge to get there. Not the job hoppers that we had in the hot board.
Oh lord, now it's why I'm not coaching? I didn't start down that career path. Pruitt did.
A little late to the party, but I assure you the defense I ran would have equal supporters and detractors. Nature of the beast.
You're willing to bet? bet what? You think that practicing medicine and calling a football game on defense is the same.
You're undervaluing the doctor, and overvaluing the football coach.
I don't know how much you know about football, but stay away from sales. I know sales. That particular pitch with the doctors stunk.
I got ten internets right here that says you would swing miss like most of your posts in this thread
Dees would be way betterz at sellin da medicine dan youz
I respect your opinion.
I got ten internets you are compensating.
As an individual, sure. But combined with Odell, Thompson and Sunseri, no. Thats a better overall staff than we had before.
Based on this article about Pruitt when he was hired by 'bama, he is anything but a "yes" guy.
He played and coached for his father, who says,
Are you insinuating that Fisher coaches defense too?
There's a lot more than that in this article. Sounds like a great hire.
It's actually a pretty good comparison.
What is he saying no to?
I'm not worried about the new DC experience . Also I love chess.
Right, I didn't think you were knocking chess.
