Just shows how much smarter Al Golden is than Jimbo Fisher. He has assembled what might be the best staff in the State of Florida and they know that they can win championships by recruiting south Florida. There are more NFL players from S Florida than anywhere in the country. Bowden knew that and stole some of the best. Remember how physically dominant those Coker teams were? S Florida talent. Cristobal and Coley will have a party down there while we are trying to steal one or two guys from Alabama and Georgia every year. Golden is a smart man. And they will be a very good football team. Fisher will allow us to only be mediocre.
Yup. Golden is much smarter and they will be better than us and Jimbo. Nevermind three straight ass kickings and the fact that UM has been hovering at .500 under Golden before sanctions hit and we are averaging over 10 wins a year under Jimbo.
Other than those small details, that asinine post makes total sense.
"It's not the SEC conference vs. the ACC conference," "It's Florida State vs. Auburn." --Lamarcus Joyner
Whoa Whoa Whoa, Dont get too far ahead of yourself.
I wouldnt say that they are the BEST staff in the state of Florida. In fact right now, with how unproven our staff is, their staff is, and even the Gator staff, I would literally say it is a complete tossup for all 3.
I will say that for a while it had been that FSU and UF had the top staff's and recruiting FSU and UF dominated in those areas, Miami has made HUGE strides in South Florida the past month with their staff. But from a coaching stand point, I dont think you can claim that they are the best. Also, from a recruiting standpoint, they have Miami pretty well handled, but apart from that, they are pretty much stuck.
Everyone is so quick to jump on people. Tell me where I'm wrong. Were Coker teams not extremely talented? I didn't say they are the best staff, but could very well turn out to be. We have hired coaches that focus on Alabama and Georgia. Two S Florida coaches gone. I'm not trying to create problems, just saying that Fisher wants to be Saban, but will never be. Golden is trying to bring in the best staff he can, and is humble enough to hand over responsibilities to his staff. They are already very talented and will be very difficult to beat. Our record this year was in a very poor conference and a very poor non conference schedule. So again, tell me why my statement is so crazy.
You realize Miami, who has compiled a terrible record under your "golden" child plays in the same "very poor conference," right?
Who helped bring in the two south Florida coaches we have? How do you know we won't bring in another? Should we ignore Alabama and Georgia and just hire a bunch of SoFla guys?
Where does Coker coach now?
Good arguments. How many rings did Coker win? I don't like Al Golden. I just saying that they have better potential as a staff right now because of what decisions they are making. I don't care about Miami records the last few years. They have sucked. Under Shannon it was a disaster. The proof will be in the pudding. We will watch and see. I'm a Nole fan 100%, just extremely disappointed in our HC and have been since he took over. Jump down my throat if you want, just wanted to make a point that I am a frustrated fan who expects more from our coach.
That's just it, you didn't make a point. Your whole post was nonsense. What does Coker have to do with Golden anyway? What the hell are you talking about?
Unfortunately, this site is now raining trolls. Almost unreadable. Zero % chance the OP is a Seminole fan.
He made no points. He just wanted to rant because his feelings are hurt.
Who on that staff is great? Coley totally inexperienced. Cristopal, fired from FIU, with little coaching experience outside of South Florida. Total 12 years of coaching experience. Kehoe, lots of experience, but hasn't produced a great line in years. DOnofrio, 5 years of defensive coordinator experience at TEMPLE. Now 3 years at Miami. Name the great defense he coached?????? And the list goes on and on. And the head man, Golden? 27 wins with 34 losses at Temple. 13 Wins and 11 losses at Miami. So 40 wins and 44 losses overall as a head coach. Somehow I don't think the rest of college football are shaking in their boots over this coaching staff.
Al Golden is a tie wearing douche!
OP's poster rating went from 100 to 62 in one post.
Please explain to us (and use as much detail as you need) why UM's staff is better than UF's and FSU's. Go ahead.
"I never knew I had a foot until I noticed it was on your neck"
What decisions are they (UM) making?
He's a troll who joined 8 days ago.
An orange peanut? For me? WOW! Will I accept you?
Boo this man
