Write your letters people. ffnole gave us a kick ass template.
Don't sit idle and be lazy.... We are going to start feeling the recruit losses due to being outside of the big 4.
We aren't going to be able to compete for recruits, if we stay in shit conference, over the long haul.

This, soon FSU will basically need to consciously decide FSU is not at the national title level of football anymore. Staying in the ACC at status quo decides that for us, I just don't want FSU fans to act surprised in 3-5 years.
The ACC as a football conference is a dead man walking.
Here come come the overreactions.
Naaahhhh, surely you jest.
So Barron and like six fans want us to stay in the ACC. This conference can't fall apart fast enough for me.
GO NOLES !!!
And I wonder why I bother to read this stuff !!! All of the folks predicting the demize of the ACC and lamenting about how bad the ACC football programs are really believe that colleges orbit around a football field? Did everyone graduate with a degree in early childhood education?
How does the ACC affect a degree from FSU?
Please educate us.
You seem confused.
How can you argue against it becoming more difficult for FSU to compete in the future at an elite level when every program in the 4 major conferences will be receiving more conference revenue than FSU and will be given the benefit of the doubt for in-conferences losses and poll slotting over us? The perception that the ACC is the weakest football conference of the "new BCS/playoffs" is no different than the Big East being the bottom of the old BCS. They got shit on by the media at nearly every turn. With them gone the ACC will be the easy toilet to use now. That affects your ability to recruit against elite recruits. The revenue affects your ability to hire and retain high-end coaches and to build or upgrade facilities. An indoor facility had been talked about since before Fisher even arrived. In the future when a school might be making $10M/year more in conference tv revenue alone than FSU, that facility improvement gets done much sooner.
It certainly won't become easier for FSU in the future if things remain this way and it seems highly irrational to believe things would even remain status quo.

Now is the time to make the move...we are going to be bent over when that 4-team playoff comes out... and everyone is bending over backwards to squeeze into one of the 4... (hint: it's not going to be the ACC)
You would be correct sir...the president of Boston College has a doctorate from Stanford and Notre Dame's president has one from Oxford. If you're going to have a PhD., neither are shabby choices.
It sounds like ND told Swofford to jump. When Swofford said "how high?" ND said "nah, nevermind. Just write us a purty letter instead".
