How good was he? Was he a probable starter?
It looks like Howard will be a starter day1.

I wanted him to come to FSU but don't know that he panned out like he should have considering his high school hype.

Big physical corner like Jimbo/Stoops really like. Played well at STA and I think he was a 4 star.
Bunch of Cane fans said he was really the better cover guy than Joyner since Joyner ended up playing safety and Payne played corner for their senior years. Obviously, one has been much more successful than the other in college and lived up to that extra star though.

He was better than Joyner and Riggs according to the canes. Both of those players are starting for their teams and will be all-conference while Payne will be looking for a new school.

Payne was a three star, and the reason Joyner played safety is because when he transferred in Payne and Riggs had already locked down the corner spots. Plus that year at safety helped Joyner find out he could be a safety at the next level since St. Thomas has done a great job at developing players.

They have a barely 3 star Juco CB starting for them right now and he's just getting abused. Miami got him away from Ball State I think. Just getting played

It's already ugly, we're very young this year. Although we would like to see them win it all, that's most likely not gonna happen. We just wanna see this young group of guys grow and get over the hump, that's it. Probably a 7-8 win team at the most. #BabyCanesFlow
Also we just wanna see some improvement, its been a while since us Canes fans had anything to cheer about, hopefully this team this year makes the games fun to watch (win or lose).

I suspect Howard to have a few growing pains, but he should have 4-5 ints and about 40 tkls this year. Most likely All-Freshman ACC and a candidate for Freshman All-American............Howard is just that good. It would have been nice to land him, thank goodness we landly Darby on NSD.

JMO but Howard is a better pure CB than XR and G5 are. I think Howard gets 4 picks and the Canes secondary still is average.

Why would anyone throw at him? He's gonna have to change jerseys mid-season to confuse the scouting staff for Miami's opponents.
