The gator stinkbutt that I work out with sometimes, sez they are not totally sure they can keep him. Momma is NOT a gator fan like the rest of the family - according to him. Now that's probably 8th. hand info, so take it for what it's worth. Nice to get a visit from him if we can, and let him look at all the pretty birds we have on campus - not to mention a swell program to be a part of - that the entire country doesn't hate.

Well the only reason he is waivering on his commitment to UF is people teling him to check our depth chart... And yall are stacked at DT, way more than we are..

    This year, yes.
We lose McCloud, Dawkins, McCray, McDaniel(unless he redshirts) to graduation.
    Cummings transferred.
So reality is, if we are, not much after this season.
But you can spin it I'm sure.

Lol Dude, he was giving our DTs props for the most part. Not sure why you're being so aggressive with the "but you can spin it I'm sure" line at the end. I know I always hated having to do the same when referencing depth chart appeal for recruits and saying the Gators were loaded at a position in comparison to our depth.

  • We have talent at DT, but we won't have overwhelming depth when Brantley would arrive (hypothetically speaking if he were to go to FSU).

Right now we are loaded beyond belief, but McCloud, Dawkins, McCray, and McDaniel are all SR's. Soo we do lose 4 DT's off of the roster. Dalvon Stuckey signed, but at best is a S&P option. Cameron Erving moved to LT. Darious Cummings transferred. Our depth is still great, but it is not what some might be thinking it is.

After this 2012 football season we will have Demonte McAllister (rsSR), Timmy Jernigan (JR; could leave early), Nile Lawrence-Stample (rsSO), Derrick Mitchell (rsSO), Justin Shanks (SO or rsFR), Eddie Goldman (SO or rsFR).

That is only 6 DT's, so while our depth for the 2012 season is loaded, in 2013 Brantley could definitely see the field as a true FR due to the number of players we lose.

Well like Brantley said, hes gunna look at the depth charts in August and go from there. He said coaches can tell him all kinds of things right now, but the depth chart wont lie.

  • Yes, and when he looks at them he will see FSU with 4 SR DT's.

He might also pay attention to how both teams (FSU and UF) play this season. I'd spend more time worrying about that than our depth chart.
