CONFERENCE TALK/ CINCY & MEMPHIS (ACC)

  • I came to the board to talk conference talk, should the ACC drop Wake for Cincy? IMO Cincy would add depth to a weak ACC.

    Another thought, of droping Wake for Memphis? I seem crazy, RIGHT? Here me out! With the added money in the ACC with a re-do of their TV contact, Memphis would be making more money. More $ = in paying for a better coach, which leads to WINS! and ect(I shouldnt list what money). While Tenn. is down, Memphis can rise, Plus a chance to strike inside SEC neighborhood.

    The ACC should lead a helping hand. Comments can be left of why it's bad/ good ideal? Express yourself!

  • Lol, I don't want memphis in the ACC either. Just a random thought. I really want to see Wake F. replace with Cincy. It's too many Carolina-Teams, that's not brinnig nothing to the table, just making the ACC more weak.

  • Coming to the FSU board to talk about additions to the ACC is probably the wrong forum. Most of us want to leave the ACC and really do not give a blue crap about what the ACC adds or doesn't add.

    Ask one of the Tobacco Road teams' fans.

    I MEAN FSU IS IN THE ACC, WHY NOT THINK OF WAYS OF TRYING TO BETTER THE ACC WHILE U IS IN IT. THINK ABOUT WOULD FSU HAVE THE SAME RECORD YEAR IN & OUT IF IT WAS IN ANOTHER CONFERENCE... GET REAL NOT THE SEC MAYBE THE BIG 12, AND I LIKE FSU EVN DOE, IM A HURRICANE

  • Replacing Wake with UConn or UC is fine with me. Replacing them with Memphis is not. I'd rather have Temple than Memphis.

  • Wake Forest is a founding member of the ACC and is not going anywhere. Nathan Hatch their President is the current Chair of the NCAA Presidents Council and a powerful, highly effective and visible leader. No one is going to tick him off. Wake is not going anywhere. And comparing Wake and Memphis or Cincinnati from an academic perspective, important to the ACC, is not even on the same planet.

    Smh, you fan's acting like you is going to see the revenue. FSU joinnig SEC would be worst move in school history, sure FSU would make more money but a hell lot of more lose would come. B1G FSU should be on top in that conference, Big 12 somewhat in the top tier of the conference

  • Uab....do some reading . To stay competitive w facilities and keep elite coaches revenue must be comp w uf uga aub ala bc we go head to head w them
    Yearly if you don't think money wins games look at Oregon and ok st... It's a fact. And to stay alive and stay comp FSU has to stay comp in revenues or they will get left behind. The sec is not likely but you've got no clue If you think that's a bad move.

  • I'm saying with the addition of Cuse, PITT, Louieville, Part-Time football with ND and you don't expect a better amout of revenue to be share out. Cincy would be a better addition than Memphis anyday. THE ACC WILL MOST LIKLY WOULD RE-DO THEIR TV DEAL WITH THE ADDITION OF THE ADDED TEAMS.

  • The B1G really want a elite conference truth be told. Sure B1G, make more money but why cause it's a power house of a conference, No! B1G is getting paid off of history, past history.. The Big12 not so much of elite conference also, why is they getting paid off of Texas & OU.

    Better conference (and better facilities, coaches) will result in better recruits.

    It's all interconnected and it does heavily involve what conference you are in. We want out. Sorry, UaB...like I said, at the risk of sounding dismissive, I just do not think we are staying in the ACC.

    The Big 12 may not seem like a "powerhouse" conference, but look at the differences in TV deals, especially if you factor in the increase if FSU joins. We would definitely make more $$$.

    I think Cincinnati would be a much more valuable athletic program to have in the ACC than Wake Forest. Not a joke at all. Wake's academics earn FSU nothing in terms of tv revenue. Wake's academics don't bring their fans to our campus when we play them. Wake's academics don't get sports fan to tune their tv's onto their games.

    If Memphis didn't suck so bad at football I'd say they were more valuable, too. But they do suck, so they aren't valuable.

  • The ACC need to replace Wake, with Cincy or at least if they go to 16 add Cincy & Uconn..

    But that's to many to me, Add Cincy drop Wake. I think it's going to happen with alot people heading to UC now, and don't know what conference UC would be playing in, unless they feel its ACC bound

    This is the old Metro Conference which we left a while ago. No thanks.
