Well lets think about this logically now men just like the NCAA does.. Bowden gave up his wins for something he knew nothing about (cheating on a GD music history online test, which, let's be honest is a total BS class anyways)... Paterno will not be forced to give up his wins even though he protected a CHILD MOLESTER.. Makes perfect sense just like the BCS.

I'm actually shocked the Legend of 'Hass even bit on the lure to comment on this. It's a situation that doesn't need his name even remotely involved. I would go out on a limb and say it's motivated by his strong will for the win record but BB is better than that IMO. I do think there will be some effort to vacate JoePa's record as he was informed in 98 and concealed the crime.

It is a little different though. Bowden's victories were stripped because players played that should have been ineligible (I think it was BS to strip the wins when he had no knowledge) which affected the outcome of games. As bad as what Joe Pa did was, the only argument that the cover-up had an effect on games is that by not firing Sandusky, the team was better with him as a coach. I don't think it's a very good argument. The guy is still a dirtbag.

You are correct, but that is a little farther removed from playing ineligible players. I guess it depends on how far down the chain of events the NCAA is willing to go to make a point. I can't recall any examples of the NCAA hammering someone for something that possibly, indirectly impacted recruiting and therefore impacted games. On the other hand, before Bowden had his wins vacated, I don't think the NCAA ever forced a coach to vacate wins when he had no knowledge of possible infractions.

Everyone thinks it should come down. Even Skip Bayless and everyone on ESPN's First Take said it should come down too. In fact everyone I have heard on this issue thinks it should and will come down, except the Paterno family.

You knew Coach Bowden would comment on this. I doubt they take the wins away from him though.
