FSU takes the court, we are three minutes to tip.
White, Turpin, Snaer, Miller, and Whisnant starting for FSU.
Pre-game highlights package of 2012-13 as the pregame intro, narrated by Gene Deckerhoff. Nice touch. Starters introduced now.
Interesting - Okaro White does the tip to start the game for FSU.
This marks Miller's, Turpin's and Whisnant's first career start.
Turpin's mid-range jumper is FSU's first basket of the season. Teams tied at 2 with 18:16 left in the first half. Terrance Shannon comes off the bench, something he has told coaches he wants to do.
Snaer drives, finds Terrance Shannon for a monster jam. Welcome back, Terrance. His first points since coming back from the shoulder injury last November.
Miller drives on a fast break and does not get a goaltending call. Criticism of referees moves from football to basketball for a night.
First media timeout - South Alabama leads 7-6 at 15:06 mark.
Bojanovsky in the game now. So appears to be a redshirt for Ojo now?
Whisnant nailed the first three of the season.
A little first-game sloppiness here. I think we just had six turnovers in 25 seconds.
FSU leads 13-12 at the 11:21 break. Snaer has four points, Whisnant with three.
Yes, the Golden Girls were joined by the "and Company."
Terry Whisnant knocks down his second 3-pointer to put FSU up 16-14. Showing nice shooting touch so far.
South Alabama playing very scrappy, defensive basketball tonight. Now up 23-18, with technicals pending after silly called tech on Terrance Shannon's dunk.
FSU really struggling to get inside buckets the last few minutes. South Alabama up 28-23 with 5:49 to halftime.
FSU trails 30-26 to South Alabama with 3:56 to half. Freshmen Montay Brandon and Aaron Thomas making contributions early.
