Bama just landed UF's #1 QB target.....

both needed a QB bad, they both wanted him bad, not exactly embarrassing to have Saban drink your milkshake but it did get drunk up.

Pretty highly rated. Wonder how good he really is. If I was a good pro-style QB, no way I go to Bama and hand off to heisman type running backs all game. Saban is one hell of a recruiter though.

I mean he has gotten some pretty highly rated QBs in the recent past. Yet, they don't seem to go high in the draft after their college career.

This is true, and IMO this is why they don't consistently land great QB prospects, and have issues keeping the ones they do.
As a QB, Bama is not a no brainer, and I would think it takes a very specific type of mindset to play there. Will you get talented support & great exposure? Yes. Will you be allowed to showcase your legs and arm strength? Probably not often.
Personally, I'd go there in a hearbeat as a QB. Play against NFL caliber defenses, learn all you can, and get a ring (or 2). Then, come combine time, do your thing.

Bama has a nearly identical offense to Stanford. The reason their QBs haven't been drafted high is because they've been average physical talents.
McCarron will probably go early 2nd round.

I think the not-going-high-in-the-draft deal has more to do with the abilities of the respective players than what Saban does or does not allow them to do.
AJ McCarron had more passing attempts last season than EJ Manuel.
