His job is put zero's on the board after each inning...I could care less if he strips naked and personally walks the ball to the plate as long as he doesn't give up runs....

JK...just messing with you...
FU is tied into the ninth trying to avoid the sweep.....
I bet you wouldn't care!
But you do have a point, any inning that Peter Miller can get out of with a "0" on the scoreboard is a successful inning.

Seeing UFs struggles early on this season should help everybody appreciate Mike Martin's job at FSU. UF lost just as much as FSU did and FSU isnt having the same struggles.
Sully isn't a very good coach but they can recruit. Martin is a very good program consistency coach but had lost a bit of the crecruiting edge lately until Bell came on board. Big game (CWS level)coaching Martin still hasn't gotten it done.

I made this point the other day. I remember several people talking about how UF has passed FSU's baseball program (not even close) and that we were on a downward slope. A few years later, FSU is in position to strengthen (recruiting has picked up considerably, as has coaching) while UF and Sully are showing chinks in the armor.
Sully really missed an opportunity the last 3 years with the talent they assembled. He stubbed his toe big time.

I like where our program stands currently and going forward. Bell and Jr. are on a recruiting tear right now and we'll see some talent come through here in the next several years that we're not used to having, especially on the mound. I am actually surprised at how dominant we have been with where our recruiting dropped to. Martin Jr. is arguably the best hitting instructor in the nation and Bell is a top end pitching instructor. Those two should produce some solid teams after Martin Sr. decides to step down.
