Demps is just a redshirt freshman. I don't think thay we'll run him off. That would probably do some damage to our relationship with his high school and I don't think we won't that. Now, after next year, all bets are off. Same goes with Gehres and Bright. And just one year in the program, I don't think that Smiley is going anywhere. But hey what do I know I live in Missouri. I am just basing this off the character of our coaches and how they want to be perceived.

Moses isn't acting like a kid who plans on leaving...
Smiley should go to UNA, somewhere the will give him carries. He's not going to get the carries that he wants on this team unfortunately.

The Smiley situation still baffles me, why did we even take him from JUCO? It's pretty obvious that Jimbo has NO faith in him, just look at all the goaline 2-5 yard runs that you would think he could contribute on, but didn't even get a whiff. Was it kinda a package deal to get McCloud (who in my mind is VERY underated)?

Smiley needs to be the main back in a one back set, and that's not what we do at Florida State. He's basically a wasted ship since we're trying to make him play the same role as Lonnie Pryor.

1 out of 2 with Smiley and McCloud isn't bad, I guess. Last year this time the thinking was we were thin on bruising, tough RBs/FBs. Hence the Smiley experiment. What a difference a year makes.

All I kept thinking all season was, what happened to Smiley? Jimbo praised him so much and barely saw the field. LCP seems to do just about everything right but Smiley is a brusing back. Thought he'd be used in short yardage situations but there has to be a valid reason as to why Jimbo didn't use him much.
