Im disappointed. Wish we had these numbers to give last year when we were blazing hot. Coaches dropped the ball this year IMO. I dont expect to be top 3 every year but we lost a LOT of momentum. The last couple of years I have been hearing how FSU was way ahead for 2 - 3 classes out due to instability at UF and UM. While they were spending ALL of their energy on the current class we were putting in a lot more effort towards underclassmen and were way ahead for future classes. Looks like that rosy assessment was overstated

Hard to tell what's hurting us exactly, if you can even call it that.
Is it Stoops (and Eliot) possibly leaving?
Negative recruiting in regards to the endless depth chart debates is definitely a factor, as we keep hearing kids like Senat talking about people trying to sway him with this nonsense.
Kids still wanting to go to UM is baffling but is probably a fluid situation. The hammer comes down hard and I doubt the big name kids stick. We could clean up here.
Lotta prospects favoring UF but it just looks like circumstance rather than a trend. We got a bunch of big time prospects during the lost decade simply based on past success even when the situation at the time wasn't that good.
So yeah, I'll wait. We still have some winning to do and that could raise our profile. Another five loss season could hurt UF's class too. We should take solace in OL recruiting which many look at as a constant problem. So far so good.
What does bother me is that these kids are apparently too lazy to look at depth charts with their own two eyes. I just looked at the roster on WC and can see the losses at DT the next two years. Five will be gone. Literally took me 30 seconds to find this info.

I think the talent we have amassed over te past few years is a double edged sword. That is unless we can prove to prospects that we can win, and win big, with that talent. Nobody wants to be 2nd or 3rd string on a 9-3 team. Everyone would love to be 2nd or 3rd string on a 12-0 team.
And winning big allows you to play more guys... You may not start, but you'll get snaps.
If we take care of business, I believe we will have another amazing class.
FSU Football. Making cool the new swag since 2013.

True, it is July but we have already burned a lot of slots. I think the class will be good but right around #10 when all is said and done because we just dont have that many ships left to give. If we truly were way ahead last year for future classes (I heard this a lot both here and on WC), then we dropped the ball this year. Either that or the rosy outlook a year ago was overstated. Seems like a logical assessment to me, not sure why anyone would take issue with it.
