Anyone FSU might want to poach from PSU??

Although others feel you are wrong, you are absolutely correct. Silas Redd's profile from Penn State Athletics Page:
Last October, the vastly talented and athletic tailback roared to five consecutive 100-yard rushing games, helping the Nittany Lions burst to a 5-0 Big Ten start en route to a share of the Leaders Division title. Redd's 703 rushing yards in October led everyone among all 120 Football Bowl Subdivision schools and propelled him to a 1,000-yard rushing season and second-team All-Big Ten honors. The dynamic, determined and personable Redd averaged 140.6 ypg and 5.3 yards on his 133 carries in October and became the first Nittany Lion with five consecutive 100-yard rushing games since All-American Curtis Enis logged eight straight in 1997. Redd's superlative October was just the fulfilling middle of a sensational sophomore season that saw him gain 1,241 rushing yards, the 10th-highest total in Penn State history. In his first year as the starting tailback, he became the 12th different Nittany Lion to post 1,000 yards rushing in a season (20 times overall) and gave Penn State a program-best seventh straight season with a 1,000-yard rusher.

When was the last time FSU had a rusher with over 1200 rushing yards???

Unless we're blessed with a Marcus Allen, Barry Sanders type running back, I'd bet everything I own that this offense will never feature a 1000 yard rusher, especially with the depth we have at running back and the way Jimbo likes to play the hot hand with his RB by committee business. Silas Redd is no doubt a talented running back, but he's not better than a healthy Thompson or Freeman.

  • Who does not think we could use another RB? its not like wilder has ever looked good carrying the ball for FSU. That leaves a true Freshman and Freeman. As to USc, they have contacted psu. It does not mean Redd would not look elsewhere.

Fisher said yesterday, Thompson and Freeman feel better than they ever have and look for Lonnie to get the ball more. Don't think we need a Rb

  • Give me a bottle of what you are drinking if you think that Thompson will contribute in any significant way. Do you expect Jimbo to say "You know, we could use 3-4 penn st ol's and their rb."

your comment makes it appear that Redd wants to come here and we are deciding whether we wll take him. Of course we will use pryor at rb, WE DON'T HAVE A CHOICE.

BTW, if you were an Rb, would you come here considering the way the ol looked last year?

Ok downvoter, what about being 104th in rushing is attractive to an rb? come on moron, er down voter, ONE thing.

  • Silas Redd is a stud, FSU is crazy if they turned him down. He is much better than Chris Thompson (I like Thompson)

  • An upperclassmen OT and a midclassmen LB would be great.

Lots of crazy going on in this post lol A guy with a rating of 40 complaining about a down vote, like that ONE matters! And you qoute yourself? huh Did you down vote yourself? loco

Anyway I didn't down vote you but you could use the recruiting angle of "We haven't been good rushing because we don't have a back like you!" Thats one thing toot

  • At this late stage it had better be a TOTAL need position, like a punter. To recruit another position is show ZERO confidence on the players we already have. Our OL isn't as porous as many thing. We get 335 pound Orleous back, Faircloth to add OT depth, 2 good looking JUCO kids to compete for the OT position as well as a healthy 320 pound Stork. All we need to do is give them reps and teach assignments, something a new kid at this stage would struggle to learn.

  • I don't know anything about their punter, but I desperately want him!
