Any Word on UF DC or UM OC?

  • How close is UF to naming their next DC? Will they get it done by NSD?
Ditto on UM and their OC vacancy. Any news? (For all I know these positions could have been filled early this morning.)

  • UF promoted DJ Durkin to defensive coordinator the day after Quinn left.

  • I really think Miami buried their chances with Collins this weekend. Visiting on a weekend with no offensive coordinator and according to another interview, they didn't even bring up the sanctions with him. Which I think says a lot about what they got back from the noa.

As usual, I'm a day late and a dollar short. Thanks Josh.

Yeah, he may go to Arky, he may go to UF, shucks, he may even go to FSU, but he is NOT going to UM.

  • I personally think Collins is all Arkansas.

    NoleBrave03

  • I wish Collins was visiting now, he seems like a person who forgets things quickly. If we had another couple months of recruiting Arkansas wouldn't even be on table for him I bet.

  • I think we will promote Cristobal to OC. We may go outside for a QB coach, a lot of people think Dorsey could be that guy. Also rumors are saying Mike Lubick from Duke is a possibility.

As for Collins, I think he picks Miam(you will say delusional cane fan)0i. His mom wants him to stay in state, his coach is the one pushing for Arkansas. Supposedly he formed a nice bind with Duke, talking about how they could be a nasty tandem. Kids in recruiting who really knows. He did say Fisch leaving wont affect his decision. According to AP sources, we are going to get the NOA early this week. Golden will get all the facts on that before his in home to speak with Alex and his Parents.

And do you really think he'll share the details openly and honestly with Alex? Or will he repeat the UM mantra: "Everything is fine. Nothing to worry about." That's a rhetorical question. We know Golden will lie and mislead.

  • I can't tell by your avatar whether your're a Cane or a 'Nole. Regardless, Golden will do what they do best at DA U: lie and mislead. (I forgot to mention "cheat." THAT'S what they do best. Oh well.)

You're pointing fingers calling people cheaters and liars so that must make FSU clean.

    Lokest

  • UM has been lying to and misleading recruits for months now saying that "there is nothing to worry about regarding sanctions." Additionally, they've been caught with their hand in the cookie jar enough times over the past thirty years to say that cheating is an integral part of their culture.

FSU is not perfect. But when you talk dirty a few programs instantly come to mind: UM, Auburn, Ohio State, USC.

Who said they were perfect? No school is clean. They all report secondary violations every year.

Miami has been caught twice now with major violations that both persisted for at least 15 years. Call me crazy, but we have good reasoning to point fingers in Miami's direction.

I think it's only natural for rivals to want to hate each other no matter what the truth is. But I disagree when you say AG is a cheater/liar. First look at his history, second he doesn't speak on sanction because its dead weight. Why would you speak to a recruit about something negative that took place in the past. Great leaders focus on the positive and have a vision for the future. IMO that's what AG is about. Enjoy the process and we'll see where Alex goes come signing day.

I'm stating the direction the program is heading. The violations coming down has nothing to do with the current players or coaches that's all buddy.

Where did I say the allegations had anything to do with the current coaching staff? That's never significant to the NCAA. You rarely see the NCAA impose sanctions on schools at the time of the violations; it doesn't happen. The future members of the program are the ones who suffer from the past actions of coaches. That's just the way it works.

Miami's dealing with Luther Campbell and Nevin Shapiro are why people point fingers at Miami. The current state of the program may be one of roses and rainbows, but that doesn't change the perception of the program. That's why people point fingers at Miami, their history is tainted.
