Andrew Wiggins = Kobe 2.0?

  • I had never actually watch videos of this kid, but DAMN does he remind me of Kobe.

Completely control of his body. There have been only a couple players in history that move like art on the floor, and this kid looks like he has it... Gracefully flows around the court, like he's in the matrix. I really hope he has the drive/work ethic as Kobe. Unhealthy obsession with perfection and old school mentality.

I've never purchased season tickets for basketball, but if we land this kid, I guarantee you I'll be there. The way he moves sold me... He will likely be the best person we see in garnet/gold in our lifetime This kid looks like legacy... He has a damn good chance of being "the one" who takes the torch from Kobe/Lebron.... and I'm not missing being a part of that, even it is only for 1-year.

  • I will buy season tickets as soon as he commits to us (I am hoping)

He is no doubt the best G&G player we will ever see and will do wonders for our program.

  • I think AW has a quicker twitch than Kobe does. While Kobe does have near perfect body control and fluidity, Wiggins seems to be faster in his movements but still maintains that same control.

1 in 3, it looks like.... competing with Kentucky and Carolina.

His parents want him to come here... because they graduated from here.

If you are going to guess, say it's a wild guess.

Our chances are much better than the mathematical odds given equal odds of each result. 80% of national analysts predicted him to FSU within the past few weeks.

  • Kobe is more about a mentality than anything else, look at the hatred he has for his opponents in his eyes. He wants to metaphorically kill all that oppose him.

  • Wiggins comes here. At FSU he's the featured player for a year before being a top 3 pick.

At Kentucky or Carolina, he's a role player for a year who won't average the same kind of numbers he'll have at FSU. Might be a top 10 pick instead of top 3.

  • If he has Kobe's drive and ability to be the biggest asshole and not care then he could maybe possibly approach LBJ (who is the greatest player since mj). Not many people have the ability to be that much of a jackass though.

  • Unless he completely bombs he's a top 3 pick no matter where he goes, and more than likely #1 IMO. He'd be the #1 this yr if he were allowed. All he has to do is show he's not a cancer to a team and average something like 10 pts, 6 or so rebounds, 2 + combined blocks and steals and he's probably #1 overall unless the Chicago kid blows up Durant style at duke. That shouldn't be a problem for someone with his physical gifts.

  • I'm going to like a little kid at Christmas if we get this guy.

  • No. There will never be another Kobe. Just like there will never be another mike. Kobe Bryant in my opinion is the most skilled offensive player ever. Kobe constantly improved his game and has never let up on his body or his game.

If you made a clone of Mike, Kobe, & Lebron...and they all green up and were 18 in 2013..... and the draft happened....

    Lebron would go first
    Kobe would go second
    Mike would go third

Mark my words, there will be "another Mike/Kobe/Lebron"... athletes have been getting bigger, stronger, smarter, and faster... for FOREVER, until that evolutions stops, don't expect the "ceiling" to have been set.

That is laughable. There is a more skilled offensive guy playing right now. Goes by the name Kevin, and then there's Mike, wilt, and Kareem.

Kobe did come out as an 18 y/o and he was drafted outside the lottery. At least you got lbj correct. He's the #1 pick in every draft ever if they're all 18.

Wiggins isn't a role player anywhere he goes. He will be the star of the team at any of those 3 schools, and no matter his stat line, barring a horrific injury, he is the #1 overall pick in 2014. The only decision he has to make is where does he feel most comfortable, and where is he going to enjoy his few months of college the most. I have been, and continue to be of the opinion he will ultimately choose UK. With the incoming talent, and UK having more upperclass leadership than this season, I would not be surprised to see them cruise through the tournament next season (honestly with or without Wiggins), not to mention Calipari has a track record of taking a group of talented freshmen and getting them to not only win games, but to play unselfishly. Honestly, if Leonard Hamilton wasn't the coach at FSU, I may give FSU the slight edge, but it seems any kid that comes to FSU with any promise, never develops the way you see other kids do at better coached schools.
