The bottom line is this they have an identity!

We used to recruit like them back in the 90's. While we always have top tier classes no er' days, they always have the top class. If we were top 3 this year I would say we are recruiting like them but we are not and therefor they stock pile talent. The difference in a top 10 class and a top 3 class is simply 3-5 players of elite status at their position. Having said that, if you land a top 3 class every year those elite players begin to stock pile your depth chart. We have begun to recruit excellent and more efficiently than our lost decade, in which case this will be Jimbo's first year where majority of our starting lineup will be all of his kids since taking over the program completely. It shows mostly on the D side and skill position on Offense. We are a great Oline away from elite status imo. Whereas in the lost decade we were many many things away from Elite.
