    • I am glad we have the depth now so we can redshirt lineman like Hoefeld, because he needs to put at least 30 pounds to be a solid D-1 lineman

    • He picked a good game to make his first!

Redshirting will be huge for a player like Hoefeld. Added weight and muscle, plus his overall effort and skill, will all add to him being a very successful player for Florida State down the road. The FSU staff is very happy to have Hoefeld on board.

    • Props to an OOS kid like Hoefeld who is (for now) staying true to the school that gave him a chance. If in the future he decides to flip to the home school I won't blame him, just as long as he doesn't do it last minute.

His junior film looked solid and from that picture it looks like he's added some weight. And it doesn't look like it's "bad" weight, either. Although high school kids can pretty much always still reshape their bodies.

      He's not going anywhere.

Rodney Hudson did not have an offer from either Alabama or Auburn and he turned out to be one best lineman to come through the program. You rarely go by a linemans offer list, because offensive line is one of the hardest positions to scout

      LSU fan here:

Hoefield is a good player, for a good school. Not a ton of top notch recruits, but a good amount of college prospects and D1 kids. Well coached kids as well.

LSU liked Malone and his upside. Boutte is one of the best guards in the country. Once Ethan Pocic made a surprise commit and we got Dobb to flip from bama, it spelled the end for Hoefield. We were able to get a good Oline class together early this year and it would take a Tunsil type kid for us to bring on another o lineman. We are 22 spots with quite a few top talents on the board. With 5 main guys that we are looking good for with only 3 spots left, we are close to finishing. If we miss out on all our targets, I think the only positions we would stretch at would be DT, DB, and maybe WR. I really don't think Hoefield has much of a chance for an offer, but we did like him and he is a good player that will do well for yall. Especially with a redshirt.
