Today the Florida State coaching staff received their 10th verbal commitment of the 2013 class when Ira Denson committed while on an unofficial visit to FSU. He arrived on campus around 4pm and after the three hour visit to Tallahassee, he made it official when he told Jimbo Fisher he wanted to be a ‘Nole.
Denson joins Alabama offensive tackle Austin Golson as FSU’s second offensive line commit.
“I committed,” said Denson. “Felt like it was the right time, I felt home.”
The 6-foot-4, 280-pound Denson grew up just 50 miles from Tallahassee and now plans to stay close to home to play his college ball.
“I’m real happy to get it out of the way. I feel like I belong at FSU. Staying close to home is great for me and my mom.”
Ira Denson is a 4-Star guard and the 11th best at his position.
