Perryman is a 5-foot-11, 215-pound inside linebacker from Coral Gables, Florida.
“It was good to catch-up with Coach Gran in person,” said Perryman.
“We talk on the phone a lot so it was good to see him and talk about the Florida State program. We talked about everything; how much the team improved this year, the dorms I would stay in if I went there and getting me up there for a visit.”
After meeting with Denzel, Gran went to his fathers work to meet him in-person for the first time also.
“My dad liked him a lot. He didn’t get to meet my mom, but he’s going to come to my house next week for an in-home visit and she’ll get to meet him,” he said.
After meeting with coach Gran, Perryman said he talked with his god brother Arrington Jenkins, a linebacker at Coral Park High School, who is also being recruited by FSU.
Yesterday, Jenkins met with Florida State coach James Coley and afterwards told Noles247 that he’s ready to come to FSU. He said a commitment is going to come while he’s on his visit next month.
Will this play into Perryman’s decision?
“We talked last night after coach Coley left. He came up to the park where I was and he said he’s going to commit to FSU. I’m happy for him, he’s family. I know what ever school I go to will turn into family as well, but it would be nice to play with him. If it happens, it happens.”
Last week Perryman got a visit from UF coach Stan Drayton and he says it’s a three team race for his services. Florida, Florida State and Miami
Perryman will visit FSU on January 7-9, he’ll likely visit UF January 21-23 and as of now has no visit date for Miami.
