Tim Brewster-Mississippi State

Tim Brewster will coach TE's and serve as recruiting coordinator at FSU.

A source with direct knowledge has informed Noles247.com that Florida State is expected to hire former Mississippi State wide receivers coach Tim Brewster.

Brewster will join the FSU staff as tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator. Brewster has coached for two NFL teams and was the head coach at Minnesota from 2007-2010.

He will coach tight ends. He knows the position.
From his bio:
Brewster was a two-time All-Big Ten Conference selection while playing tight end at the University of Illinois. He received his bachelor's degree in political science from Illinois in 1983. Brewster began his college coaching career as a graduate assistant at Purdue and earned his first full-time position at the University of North Carolina in 1989. He coached tight ends, special teams and served as recruiting coordinator from 1989-1997 before coaching tight ends at the University of Texas from 1998-2001.
After a five-year stint in the NFL with the San Diego Chargers and Denver Broncos (coaching tight ends for both), Brewster was named head coach at Minnesota in 2007. Brewster has coached in 11 bowl games and led the Golden Gophers to the Insight Bowl in both 2008 and 2009.
He was most recently wide receivers coach (2012) and tight ends coach (2013) for Mississippi State.
