Madison (Fla.) Madison County Top247 four-star offensive guard Ira Denson talks about his commitment to Florida State, his relationship with Seminole offensive line target Denver Kirkland, and more.
Here are some highlights of the interview.
Denson on why he committed: “I went and visited Florida State and I fell in love with them. I felt at home. I love the coaching staff. They have great coaches. Coach (Odell) Haggins (and) Coach (Rick) Trickett, they were really talking to me, getting me into the program, what it is like to be a Seminole, and how Coach Trickett is going to coach me. I like to be pushed. That is why I chose Coach Trickett, he is a great coach and he has produced some great offensive linemen.”
Denson on his relationship with Denver Kirkland: "That is my boy. We hit it off. When I came to the hotel and we were getting our gear, we clicked instantly. He was asking me what I liked about Florida State. So I asked him. Both of us visited."
"I have (stayed in his ear) and I think he is about there. But you know I am just going to let him make his decision. He came and visited. I don't know if he is going to commit yet but I hope he do. I want to play with him."
Denson on the strength of his commitment: “I am top, 100% FSU. But different schools have been talking to me but that is no big thing with me. Florida State is my heart.”
