Florida State found out their eight conference opponents for the 2013 season as well as the destination for those eight match-ups.
Among the highlights of the schedule is Florida State hosting Syracuse and traveling to Pittsburgh. This coming season marks the first for both the Orange and Panthers in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Both teams join the conference after being affiliated with the Big East.
Each ACC team will play eight conference games in football (four home and four away), six games within their division (three home, three away) and two games (one home, one away) with crossover opponents from the opposite division. In 2013, all Atlantic Division members will host their primary crossover opponent while Coastal Division members will host a rotating crossover opponent.
Florida State’s complete home conference schedule includes Maryland, N.C. State, Miami, and Syracuse. The complete road conference schedule includes Boston College, Clemson, Wake Forest, and Pittsburgh.
Miami and Pittsburgh are Florida State’s two crossover opponents.
Florida State's out-of-conference opponents for 2013 are Wofford, Idaho, Nevada, and Florida. The Seminoles will travel to Gainesville to face the Gators, but host the other three opponents in Doak S. Campbell Stadium.
The complete 2013 ACC Football Schedule, including specific dates, is expected to be announced in early February.
