Seminole fans thought they might be getting a late Christmas present when current Florida State running back Devonta Freeman posted on Instagram a side-by-side photo of Miami Central five-star running back Dalvin Cook and Booker T. four-star FSU commit Treon Harris.
This is a screen shot of what Devonta Freeman posted on Instagram last night.
Freeman's caption read: "Both of my lil brothers are #Noles now! Welcome to the fsu #Family...."
While Devonta Freeman insinuates that Cook committed, we can not confirm that. After doing some digging it seems there was no official commitment that took place last night. FSU running back Freeman is a former Miami Central Rocket and it's known that Freeman and Cook are good friends and communicate regularly.
Another story line to this recruitment - Dalvin Cook remains committed to Florida.
For now, FSU fans are going to have to wait until January 2nd, when Cook will announce his final decision at the Under Armour Game at Tropicana Field. Cook is an early enrollee, which means he will enroll at his new school just days after making his announcement. His decision will come down to either UF, FSU or Miami.
Dalvin Cook has a five-star 99 rating by 247Sports Composite Rankings. Cook is the no.1 RB in the country and the 12th best player overall.
