JUCO DE Desmond Hollin will add much needed depth to FSU's D-line in 2013.
Florida State has received a commitment from ASA junior college prospect Desmond Hollin. The 6-foot-4, 260-pound pass rusher chose FSU over offers from Kentucky, Purdue, Kansas and Marshall among others.
"I committed to Florida State today," said Hollin. "Basically I committed because how the roster looks. I know I can get a lot of playing time and moving back to Florida is just an opportunity I just can't pass up."
The ‘Noles will need help at the defensive end position since they are losing Tank Carradine to graduation and may lose Brandon Jenkins and Bjoern Warner to the NFL draft.
Hollin is originally from Miami (Fla.), he played his high school football at Southridge.
"I don't even want to go to sleep tonight I'm so excited. I'm ready to move back to Florida and play at home in front of my family and friends. I told coach Coley today that me and my family talked it over and this is a blessing that I couldn't turn down."
Hollin graduates in the spring and will enroll at FSU in the summer. He will have three years to play two.
