Walker's wait is over.
Florida State freshman defensive end DeMarcus Walker enrolled at FSU in January in hopes of participating in spring practice. An issue with the NCAA Clearinghouse prevented Walker from being able to do that.
After five months of waiting, Walker reports that he got good news with regards to being cleared.
“Nole Nation I just got the best news ever I'm cleared academically now,” Walker tweeted. “I swear ever(y) school on the schedule is in trouble now. #FEAR THE SPEAR”
Florida State confirmed the news that Walker had been cleared.
The 6-foot-3, 265-pound defensive end switched his commitment to Florida State on January 8th and enrolled soon after. He is expected to be a contributor as a freshman.
As a recruit, Walker was ranked No. 38 overall in the Top247. He was considered the No. 4 strong-side defensive end and No. 8 prospect from the Sunshine State.
